DACBSP ®
We are proud to announce that Dr. Rob has earned the prestigious DACBSP (Diplomate American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians) certification. Only a handful of chiropractors in the country have performed the rigorous requirements necessary to achieve this status.
DACBSP requires a doctor to first achieve the CCSP (Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician) certification. Once CCSP has been achieved, the doctor may work toward DACBSP certification by attending an additional minimum of 200 class hours in addition to four basic components:
1) Written Exam
2) Practical Exam
3) Practical Experience Hours
4) Written Project
You know that anyone who achieves this diplomate has gone through a significant amount of education and effort. It takes tremendous dedication to achieve this goal. – Dr. Bill Moreau, Fmr DACBSP President
The practical examination involves x-ray analysis, soft-tissue techniques, taping, and managing an injured athlete in an emergency situation. Diplomate training greatly enhances technical vocabulary and sports injury expertise which improves Dr. Rob’s ability to collaborate with other health professionals involved in your particular case.
There are currently only about 180 sports diplomates and nearly 3,500 CCSPs, according to the ACBSP.
